A very unexpected guest

The dogs were all napping when we heard a rapping tapping on the window pane.
They hopped up to see who was there and it was a visitor from Canada.
Boy did that silly goose have a thing for bassets!

Since it couldn’t get to the dogs through the glass it made its way
around the house to the back yard fence where it played with the dogs for over an hour.

I dont know if it was hand raised, love sick, or just plain stupid
but it never got scared or tried to get away.
I saw it fly in and land on the driveway so I know it wasnt hurt.
