… through the front window, walking across the walkway.Now to try and figure out what kind it is. Maybe a Red Eared Slider? Doesn’t seem to have enough of a ridge down its back to be a Map Turtle. It was very large and heavy… between 8-9 inches long. Had red markings on its head, behind the eyes. So darned cute.No, it never bit my finger or even tried to bite… I hurt that all on my own. LOLI walked it down to Sugar Creek Reserve and let it loose so it wouldn’t get hit by a car or pounced on by a kid/dog. Such a wonderful treat to see!I didn’t stick around long enough to watch it walk away but it finally poked its head out.
