Our not so little visitor
After getting out the bird book, we think it is a juvenile Coopers Hawk because it had yellow eyes vs the adult reddish eyes. Our guess it was close to 15-16″ long. It sat in our tree for about 45 minutes or more. Flew off but came back about an hour later. It was quite a beautiful sight to watch! Also found a half eaten chipmunk on the ground where it had been sitting. Thankfully, I got it scooped and thrown away before the puppers finished it off.

Not sure what …

… kind of Moth this bugger was but it was an impressive size. About 2.5″ big.
Too bad it was so badly torn up but it did manage to fly
away after a good days rest on the flag.
