Brett’s poor legs!
We laughed so hard all the way home as Brett did a stage production of Gulliver’s Lilliputian’s Travels!
We were hauling 5 doors in the back of the sh!t mobile and in order to get them all in
Brett had to slide his seat forward by several inches. His knees were almost in his chest.
That will teach him for being tall!
Now we are going to try and install these suckers. Wish us luck! -
Woohoo
We have a new tile installer hired to do the flooring. Tile STEVE! Not to be confused with cabinet installer Steve. There is a national tile association that sets standards and they offer some product names that one can use over cut-back tar adhesives so we are moving forward with the option of a primer. Now, if the idiots at Home Depot could just get the correct tile order delivered to our house, without any more problems, by Tuesday, then we will still be on track for cabinet installation to start Feb 4th. I can’t imagine being without a kitchen for a full month but it will be about that before I have running water out there again. gulp. Anyone who knows me please take my warning to hide very seriously! Living in mountainous piles of crap stacked all over the place from empting rooms for tiles has me about ready to explode. Ode to those TV renovations where a mere 60 minutes later a dump is magically turned into paradise, making me believe that I could survive the process too. Those shows are all lies, I tell you… LIES!

Yeah….
My new hard drive is installed and all my older photos are backed up on it. I love having all my images in one spot again and being able to buzz through the thumbnails at light speed. Thanks sweetie for making it so.

Loving Home Depot… NOT!!!!
We had our lovely pink ceramic floor tiles down, in our house, for about 18 years without a single crack in them or any other issues. The only reason why we are replacing them is because we do not like their “pink from hell” color. After a year of looking, I finally found some porcelain tiles at Home Depot I liked that fit into our budget so we decided to order them and have Home Depot install them too. We had Home Depot out to measure, take photos, and help us order the correct materials needed for the job… all items due to arrive Jan. 16th. Long story shorter, after 2 weeks trying to get the project started and booked for an installation date, Home Depot sent out a second round of tile installers to look at our project and within 1 minutes of walking into our house, they made up their minds that we could NOT put ceramic tiles down in our house. Needless to say, Brett and I were beyond shocked at their response to our project. Frustration and anger doesn’t even begin to describe our feelings towards Home Depot right now! I guess our project is too big, too complicated, too something for their lazy, maybe inexperienced workers to tackle so we will be taking our business somewhere else. IMHO, if anyone needs tiling done, do NOT go to Home Depot!

Good ole Billybrook…
One has to get used to all the monthly power blurps and outages we have here but the water boil advisories suck, especially when you lose power too. LOL I will be glad when the water warning is lifted later today but I am sure the doggers will miss their cold bottled waters.
