    A first for us

    We’ve lived here 27 years and have never seen a bluebird in our yard.  We started putting out mealworms for the wrens and ta-daaaaa, we have our first bluebirds.  We have been lucky to see both the female (here) and the male all week long so hopefully they will stay all summer.  We have been talking about getting a birdhouse for them to see if they would nest in the yard.  Very excited to see them.

    A couple critter chases

    out of many, today!  She is OCD ready to catch and … well, ask the chipmunk she finally caught.  ick.  Thankfully, after I got it out of her mouth and put her inside, it got away.  I hope she never gets a squirrel, their teeth are too big and they are mean.  Seriously, these are bird feeders, please stay off and out of the yard, you idiot critters.
